Its hard to believe, but giving me an awareness about identi.ca has motivated me to finally try twitter. I think I’ll read through quite a few of your posts from the past, I’m guessing I’ll be interested in quite a few of the posts.

Candice: Twitter already offers the service you are looking for in terms of being able to send text messages to it and receive notifications of your friends up by text message. Unfortunately Identi.ca has not yet built this feature in which is why I think many people are staying away until they do. I think it was unwise to launch without the features that other microblogging services already offer. It does not create a very good first impression in that respect.

I’ll be interested in any service that’ll allow me to update via text message and receive text messages when my friends update so I’ll try to keep an eye on ident.ca for that.

I like the new design, btw.
